Floating Pool To Put Melbourne In The Swim

Melbourne is not usually synonymous with swimming pools, but a new proposal could ensure the Victorian capital has Australia’s fanciest swimming pool. A concept for a floating swimming pool in Melbourne’s Yarra River could become a reality within three years. Named Yarra Pools, the proposal was launched at the Venice Architectural Biennale Exhibition in May.

Spa Maintenance Made Easy


While a spa may take up less space than a backyard swimming pool, owners still need to remain vigilant with cleaning and maintenance to ensure crystal clear water year round.
As with a swimming pool it’s important to adhere to a regular maintenance program of your spa that includes testing the pH and alkalinity, balancing and sanitising the water and cleaning the filter cartridge. An old car park at Sydney Olympic Park is set to be transformed into an artificial surf beach by surf park developer Wave Park Group and Perth-based architecture practice MJA Studio. Wave Park Group has announced it has been nominated as the preferred proponent for the 3.2-hectare site currently known as car park P5, located at Sydney Olympic Park.

A natural bio-swimming pool in Melbourne has scooped the prize pool in the annual Houses Awards.
