Blue Haven Profile
From humble beginnings, launching as the first business to build vinyl-lined aboveground pools, Blue Haven has grown to be recognised the world over as an innovator and leader in the swimming pool and spa industry.
The first range of vinyl-lined aboveground pools were designed "strong enough to hold an elephant". Built with JUMBO strength and JUMBO durablity, Blue Haven's elephant brand quickly became as well know as Vegemite or Aeroplane Jelly.
Today, Blue Haven offer the largest range of products and services in the industry and make the backyard pool more affordable than any other builder.
Ray Awadallah decided to start Blue Haven Pools after working as a pool salesman over 35 years ago. "Pools were something new to me. I always lived in a unit and saw them as a luxury. After I started selling them, I could see the possiblities for a sucessful business by making pools an affordable luxury for hard working families" he said.
With its evolving business strategy the business has grown tremendoulsly in the past decade; home to over five hundred team members and 250 display pools making up the largest display centres in the Southern Hemisphere.
Blue Haven Pools consistenly wins awards for design innovation and takes part in a number of community inititives. More recently Blue Haven has been working towards a solution that will allow Australian families to enjoy the pleasures of a backyard swimming pool while miniimising the impact upon the environment. Water conservation and sustainablity solutions are part of our immediate growth and future vision.
With the help of Jamie Duries design team at PATIO, Blue Haven's consultants are now able to advise customers of ways to save water in the garden and be water wise.
Blue Haven is completely family owned and operated throughout Sydney and Central Coast. Our Newcastle and South Coast offices are franchised, offering local service, trades and management. The franchisees also run their businesses with their families.
Blue Haven Pools is more than just a family business. It is an innovator and industry leader that is committed to providing both a good product and great service to their customers and to the community.

Blue Haven Sponsorship Guidelines
Blue Haven is an affordable pool & spa construction company, focused on keeping the luxury affordable for Australian families.
To achieve our 'Best Price Guarantee' and ensure that price remains low over the long term, it's imperative we keep our costs down. This means that Blue Haven pursues a limited number of sponsorship opportunities. In reality, we don't have a sponsorship budget at all. Every sponsorship opportunity is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If the opportunity meets the guidelines that Blue Haven has established for sponsorships, limited contra support may be possible. We certainly like to help where we can.
For initial contact, please fill out the Sponsorship Application Form, outlining the event and/or request. Please try to be as specific as you can, detailing in full what the event and/or request is, and in turn, what will be provided to Blue Haven as part of the sponsorship arrangement. Key elements of your proposal should include:
- What is the concept/event/request?
- When will the concept/event be taking place? i.e. What are relevant dates?
- What/who is your target market?
- What form and level of support are you seeking from Blue Haven.
- Please be as specific as possible in terms of fares being sought and the key dates.
- What are the benefits that you propose to return to Blue Haven?
- Full details of the bundle of benefits that you are suggesting could be provided in return for Blue Haven's support should be outlined. You should provide details in relation to any proposed media/advertising schedule, along with details of signage, size and placement of logo, hospitality etc. Please keep in mind that we like to pursue opportunities that deliver positive exposure for Blue Haven and which encourage people to travel to attend and/or participate in the relevant event/concept.
We'll try our best to respond via return email within 3 weeks to your request. Please be patient if the response to your request takes a little longer than expected as it does take time to thoroughly review and assess all opportunities. We ask that you keep any "follow up" phone calls to a minimum as this distracts us from our core task of reviewing and responding to you as quickly as we can.
All sponsorship opportunities are assessed on a case by case basis, however, to help you in putting together your proposal, some general guidelines are outlined below:
- What does Blue Haven offer?
Blue Haven does not provide any cash support. All sponsorship opportunities involve contra i.e. Blue Haven pools or spas in return for exposure.
- Personal Assistance Requests
Blue Haven receives many personal requests for assistance with pools and spas for compassionate reasons, especially for disadvantaged or ill people who are experiencing great hardships. While we wish we were in a position to be able to assist with every single one of them, Blue Haven is simply unable to help the majority of requests for assistance. We try to make sure our everyday prices are low enough so that everyone can afford them.
- Community Fundraising
Fundraising is an integral part of the activities undertaken by many schools, churches, Societies, Clubs and community organizations. The majority of requests sent to us relate to this type of fundraising. While we would like to be able to help all of you, we obviously cannot.
Blue Haven looks favourably on proposals that:
- Benefit a bona fide charity organisation.
- Include other like-minded companies that fit well together as part of the one concept (i.e. supports the Blue Haven brand).
- Would benefit significantly from Blue Haven's involvement rather than it just being a small component of the overall proposal.
- Provides Blue Haven with significant and valuable return for assistance.
- Is an event or situation that supports Blue Haven's brand values of value, fun, innovation and family spirit.
Are just WAY too great to say no to.
So, if you think you have a really great event that Blue Haven should be involved in, please lodge a Sponsorship Application Form, being sure to provide as much detail as possible.
